I had a great weekend, I hope everyone else did as well. Saturday was very busy busy at the shop and we had a very full class on the Cathedral Window taught by Rhonda. We did sell out of the fabulous batik fabric I picked up at Hoffman last week. I'll be on the road early tomorrow back to Hoffman to pick up the last 2 bolts Hoffman has on that fabulous sunflower black batik. I'm sure they will have other fabrics I can't love without so I'll let you know what those are tomorrow. Check back tomorrow for more news.

About Me
I am 45 years young and married to a wonderful man Richard. He is a fireman/quilter, hehe, we've been married almost 3 years. I have 3 children Breanna is 20, Melissa is 14 and Nicolas is 12. I have 2 step children Kristen is 31 and Kiel is 10, my son-in-law is Frank and I have 2 grand daughters Addison is 2 and Brooklyn is 10 months.
It's kind of a funny story how the shop came about. I was going through some of life's trying times. My sister talked me into taking a quilting class to "relax". Relax I thought, yeah right, I failed Homec, I couldn't even sew on a button. To stop her nagging I signed up for a class. That was it "I got the bug". I finished my quilt and my sister having a long arm I asked her to quilt it for me. No, she said, you have to do it yourself. That machine was huge, it took up half her garage, talk about intimidating. Well, I quilted it and caught that bug too. I was a single mother of 3, working full time but needed to supplement my income so I bought a long arm and quickly had so much business I could hardly keep up. My real job required me to travel and I hated being away from my kids. I started researching opening a quilt shop. After almost a year of research and pondering I thought to myself if I don't do it now I'm going to kick myself in a year or so. I took equity out from my home, started running and now it's 6 years later! Welcome to the Quilter's Cocoon!
